Muslimah Today Conference

Muslimah Today is a two and a half day conference for women, about women, by women organised by ILM for Women, a branch of ILM-SA. 

The conference is aimed at encouraging women to view Islam as a holistic way of life.   It also showcases the talents, achievements and contributions of various South African Muslim women, conveying an understanding of how they have maintained and promoted their Islamic identity in various spheres of society e.g. activism, social responsibility, media and publishing, etc.

Dates and Times: 

Saturday, 22 September 2012 (9am to 6pm)

Sunday, 23September 2012 (9am to 6pm)

Monday, 24September 2012 (9am to 2pm)

Venue:               University of KwaZulu-Natal Westville Campus Senate Chamber

Cost:                   R300 per person including writing material, tea and coffee on all three days, and

lunch on Saturday and Sunday

ILM-SA will also be providing a platform for several women-led/women-focused initiatives to promote their products and services by making tables available to them in the foyer of the venue.  Consequently, a range of items including Palestinian Olive Oil, a Muslim lifestyle magazine, books and DVDs will be on sale.
